Seems hard to believe that Man Men is already entering a fourth season. It begins July 25 with Don Draper (Jon Hamm) looking at a fresh start in the ad business as the AMC poster at left indicates. But will anybody pick Mad Men up again in Canada? CTV dropped it last year when their own ad world blew up, blaming their “broken business model” for curbing their summer stockpiling. Canadians who subscribe to AMC can enjoy it day and date with U.S. audiences.
Other summer start dates to remember:
The HBO series Entourage (seventh season!) and Hung both return this coming Sunday, June 27. The made in Nova Scotia supernatural series Haven, starring EmilyRose, Lucas Bryant and Eric Balfour, begins July 12 on Showcase and Syfy. Pillars of the Earth, a German/Canadian co-production shot in Hungary, begins July 23 on The Movie Network/Movie Central. Rufus Sewell, Donald Sutherland and Ian McShane are among the international cast.
AMC launches their new espionage thriller Rubicon, starring James Badge Dale (The Pacific), August 1.

  1. Reeeee-diculous. Amazing show, and Canadians can’t even see it. We certainly get to see the other slop south of the border. I guess I’ll have to wait a bit and scoop them off my torrent service – I’m not paying for them on iTunes.
