Having a New Year’s Eve special on New Year’s Eve seems so last year. That’s why Air Farce is airing their annual comedy special tonight, New Year’s Day, at 8 p.m. on CBC.
Above is a clip posted on-line featuring guest Farcer Rowdy Roddy Piper with Craig Lauzon. Lauzon says it was a career highpoint getting nipple twisties from the ex-WWE star. Maybe next time he’ll get a coconut smash.
Piper is one of several featured on Air Farce: Not the New Year’s Eve special, including Ron MacLean, Adam Beach, Tessa Bonhomme, Kevin O’Leary and the Canadian World Junior hockey team.

CBC’s 2011 New Year’s Eve competition was CTV Toronto airing a 18+ Martin Lawrence sequel as a follow-up to Mary Poppins and Global Ontario slamming their own newly uptighted Niagara Falls special directly into a 1995 horror film (instead of rolling to NBC’s SNL repeat at 12:30 a.m.).
Other than CityTV’s Toronto /Calgary show, NYE was a squash match for the CBC’s Van. at L.A second hockey game. Next year, I’ll dare to miss it.
