Sat at a picnic table talking to Pamela Anderson this week. Honest!
Mind you, the blond bombshell was 4,000 or so kilometres away.
Anderson was in a Vancouver hotel room doing interviews to promote her new TV series Pam: Girl on the Loose (airing Sunday evenings on E). I was sitting in the shade at a picnic table at a cottage on Ontario’s Bruce Peninsula, frantically jotting down the broken conversation while struggling to get clear cellphone reception.
Not being able to see Anderson during an interview is just plain wrong. Barely being able to hear her is perhaps less tragic but also wrong when her words are why you are being assigned to write the story in the first place.
Plus – and this didn’t surprise me because I have spoken with her in the past – she’s a great interview.

I really enjoyed the article on Pam Anderson! Great job!
I’m interested to see the reception her PETA support gets since their new ‘campaign ad’ which almost mockingly parallels the savage murder of Tim McLean. If I was Pam, I would drop them faster than she can drop her clothes, haha! Ok, lame attempt at a joke but I’m sure you get my meaning.
Also, the BC girl in me would like to point out the she isn’t ‘from’ Vancouver. She’s from Ladysmith, which is on Vancouver Island. Big difference to locals! And while she may be developing property in Van, she’s also looking into developing property on the island that was left to her by her grandmother.
    I know, I know, I’m being picky!
But I’m not a huge fan of hers, although I always enjoy her interviews and respect her candidness (that doesn’t sound like a genuine word, lol). AND, as a mother, I think her ensuring her children were NOT put on camera tells me what a good parent she actually is! No child-whoring Denise Richards, ACK!
    Cheers, Rachel MacDonald 🙂

  2. It’s all fun games with Pam and her ilk until someone loses an eye…or head.
