Super Bowl overnights indicate most-watched ever

UPDATE: Preliminary overnight rating reports show Sunday’s Super Bowl XLIX will be the most-watched TV show in U.S. and Canadian history. Marc Berman over at TV Media Insights reports it scored an overnight record 49.7 rating/72 share in households. No surprise, really, given the tight, back-and-forth score and dramatic ending.
