It’s not such a Happy New Year over at Show Magazine. The final issue, featuring Kiefer Sutherland on the cover, is being delivered to Bell TV subscribers this month.
That’s my cover story and you can read it at the SHOW site here. Personally, I’m really going to miss working with editor-in-chief Jennifer Warren and associate editor Joshua Karpati. They are a resourceful, professional, talented and above all friendly creative team and hopefully both will land on their feet soon. I had fun with them on a visit to their office in Montreal (not far from the best-in-the-world bagel district) and in Toronto when they showed at the HBO Canada launch late last year.
Bell TV subscribers are out a handsome and handy little perk. On-screen guides and web info remain, but, damn, I’ll miss my copy of SHOW–and really miss those prompt freelance cheques!
