What BBM giveth, PPM taketh. The Rick Mercer Report was up to 1,242,000 viewers Tuesday night while CBC’s much hyped The National slipped to 627,000 at 10 and 495,000 at 10:25.

The other newscasts all held steady: CTV National News at 11 got 1,328,000. Global National at 5:30 scored 1,209,000.
Other Tuesday night numbers in Canada: Being Erica bounced up to 652,000 viewers according to BBM Canada overnight estimates. This Hour Has 22 Minutes, which featured Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff cozying up to Geri Hall’s “Single Female Voter,” scored 669,000. With their own dance show out of the way, CTV finally got to cash in on a Dancing with the Stars results simulcast, scoring 1,901,000 viewers. Over on A, another 491,000 found Fox’s So You Think You Can Dance.
The two hour Biggest Loser on Citytv scored 710,000. TSN scored 650,000 for a Washington/Philly NHL tilt. YTV and Family had six shows that drew over half a million viewers Tuesday night, including 565,000 for iCarly and 554,000 for Suite Life on Deck.
Top three overall for the night: CTV’s Dancing led all shows followed by Global’s NCIS (1,874,000) and CTV’s Law & Order SVU (1,858,000).
