As predicted, the Big Beaver Balloons at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games closing ceremonies were deflated over at The Colbert Report Monday night.
“Being in Vancouver for the past two weeks really helped me get past all the lazy stereotypes of Canadians being beaver-humping moose jockeys,” said Stephen Colbert. “That’s why I was so happy that last night’s closing ceremonies let us all get back to those lazy stereotypes. This sets a new standard for host countries. So at the 2014 Games at Sochi, Russia, I had better see cossacks paddling bottles of vodka across giant bowls of borscht.”
Then again, he was probably just being ironic.
