In a very special Easter Week version of Survivor, Boston Rob gets crucified. Before that, at the Last Supper immunity challenge, he turned to Coach and asked, “Why do you betray me?” Coach denied it, but later Russell crowed three times, fulfilling the prophecy, “They will divide his Boston Red Sox cap among them and throw lots for Amber.” Meanwhile, Jerri washed her hands of the whole thing, asking, “Is not Boston Rob King of Reality Show Fame Leeches?” At tribal council, Rob made one final declaration: “Yahweh, Yahweh, Ich Bin ein Berliner,” which means, “You are a little man.” He said this to Coach, not Russell, which is dumb because even sitting down Coach is taller than Russell.
Next Week: Rob rises from the dead and declares, “There will be no false immunity idols before me.” Also people get all muddy.

Amber Dowling (TV Guide Canada): “What I don’t understand is why everyone is so shocked that Russell was able to push Rob from this game. While the cap-sporting vet had the respect of his tribe, pulled his team to victory during challenges and started fire with his bare hands, he wasn’t playing the game. At least, he wasn’t playing the evolved version of this game.” Read the rest of Dowling’s recap here.

Michael Bolen (The National Post): “‘You can’t be the good guy to everyone and win this game.’ I usually don’t look to Jerri Manthey as a source of Survivor wisdom, but her comment on Coach perfectly captured the lesson of the seventh episode: There is no Switzerland on Survivor.” Read the rest of Bolen’s recap here.

Kat Angus (Dose.ca): “Sadly, we’re still stuck with Coach, who so desperately wants to be liked that he essentially voted for Rob at tribal council without writing his name down. The guy’s delusional if he thinks his vote for Courtney can be construed as anything but a vote against Survivor’s most charming player. Well, I suppose it could also be construed as an attempt to get into Jerri’s pants – so at least he’s got his priorities straight in this contest for a million dollars.” Follow the rest of Angus’ latest recap here.
