This week on our CHML podcast, Scott Thompson wanted to get my take on the news that Oprah Winfrey is coming to Hamilton. Winfrey is due in April 13 at Copps Coliseum. Not sure if she’s bringing that guy with the giant teeth again. It’s all about bringing hope and faith to the multitude as well as spreading the gospel of OWN TV. Hey, why not, those oldies tours don’t have to be just for rock stars.
Scott also wants to recap the Oscars and MacFarlane and we give it one last once over. I do agree with recent murmurs that ABC is trying to make the Oscars more like the big drunken bash that is the Golden Globes. We both agree the Bond tribute was Double-O-nothing.
We also talk a bit about the return of Celebrity Apprentice (Sunday), Dancing with the Stars and this edition of American Idol. I also work in a plug for tonight’s debut of Big Brother Canada (on Slice).
