Hey all you Beatle people. I’ve been slow on the draw on this but you can still catch the last of Conan O’Brien’s salute to George Harrison. Tonight on Conan (11 p.m. TBS; 12:30 a.m., MuchMusic), Norah Jones–daughter of Harrison’s friend and mentor Ravi Shankar–closes out the tribute Thursday night.
O’Brien’s Beatle bonus is in support of the release of George Harrison: The Apple Years 1968-75, a reissue of Harrison’s first six solo albums. Harrison died 13 years ago this November.
If you missed the earlier Harrisongs, you can find them on YouTube. Here’s a link to son Dhani Harrison “and Friends” (including O’Brien’s Basic Cable Band members Jimmy Vivino and horn player Mark Pender) killing it on one of the more haunting songs from All Things Must Pass, Let it Down. You can also find a bonus song, The Ballad of Sir Frankie Crisp (Let it Roll) the 36-year-old Harrison (aided by Vivino and Big Black Delta) performed strictly for streaming.
