While it seems now like it came from a galaxy far, far away, it has actually been a full year since The Mandalorian first rocketed onto Disney+. The Jon Favreau-produced “Star Wars” spinoff series instantly became the streaming services’ flagship series.

You can recap where things left off in the above video.

A second eight-episode season premiered Friday, Oct. 30, and work is already underway on a third season. The series follows helmeted bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) as he first takes and then protects his precious cargo, “The Child” (known throughout the galaxy as “Baby Yoda”).

Along for the ride are a cool cast of terrific character actors, including Carl Weathers as bounty hunter Guild boss Greef Kaergs; filmmaker Werner Herzog as the enigmatic “Client”and Nick Nolte as a half pint farmer who helps our hero out of several jams. Giancarlo Esposito plays the menacing Imperial Security chief who also covets The Child. Gina Carano rides shotgun with the Manadalorian on some of his missions.

Look for Timothy Olyphant (Justified) to make a surprise appearance as an outer space sherrif; Others joining the series in season two include Rosario Dawson, Temuera Morrison and Katee Sackhoff.

The Mandalorian‘s second season is streaming now at Disney+.
