On January 30th, more than two million Canadian viewers watched Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs go down to defeat at the hands of the Super Bowl bound Cincinnati Bengals. The NFL playoff game topped all other shows in English Canada the week of Jan. 24 to 30.

Here is how the Top-10 performed in total, Live+7 viewers, ages 2+, as measured by Numeris (based on average minute audience):

Sticking with sports, a few hockey games made the list, including a Wednesday night Toronto Maple Leafs game on Sportsnet National, ranking 11th with 1,132,000 viewers. In 28th was Hockey Night in Canada’s early prime east tilt, scoring 788,000 Sportsnet Ont. viewers.

In Canadian scripted originals, only two shows made the list Jan. 24-30: No. 12 Transplant is enjoying a strong sophomore season on CTV with 1,109,000 viewers, and Murdoch Mysteries ranked 20th with 935,000 CBC viewers. Hudson & Rex did not air this week. CBC rookie Son of a Critch, for the first time in five weeks, missed the Top-30 cut.

In other highlights: Saturday Night Live, hosted that week by Willem Dafoe, drew 1,107,000 Global viewers for 14th place. In specialty, The Curse of Oak Island took in 891,000 viewers on History for 22nd spot. New import medical drama Good Sam clocked in at 26th spot with 803,000 Global viewers. Next Level Chef on CTV simmered in 29th with 785,000 watching on CTV.
