“Caught in a trap. Can’t get out…”

David Letterman had one of the rescued Chilean miners on his show Thursday night. If you missed it, stick with the above YouTube clip until Edison Pena gets to his rendition of “Suspicious Minds.” The impromptu Elvis moment, backed by ever ready bandleader Paul  Shaffer, was beautiful, real and genuine and illustrates why Letterman has just this past month caught and passed Leno in the key 18-49-year-old demo.
