Are you still watching Dancing with the Stars? The ABC variety/competition show is in its 10th year and 20th edition. Canadian Shark Tank money man Robert Herjavec and partner Kym Johnson are among the contestants, as are Suzanne Somers and her pro partner Tony Dovolani.
The theme Monday was called “Most Memorable Year” but it was really “Make Viewers Cry” week. Everybody’s backstory seemed built around overcoming some hardship or obstacle. All of these reality shows–The Voice, American Idol–they can’t keep their hands off the emotional button.
Patti LaBelle is 70 and still doin’ it and you had to take your hat off to her Monday. Her favourite year was 1973, the year her son was born. Her dance with partner Artem Chigvintsev was sweet and her joy genuine and that was fun to see Monday, with her grown son watching in the studio ball room.
