PASADENA , Calif.–Those lock ‘n’ load Canadian dudes from Flashpoint staged their own little stakeout at Monday night`s star-packed CBS party here on press tour. Despite the cop show’s uncertain future at the network, Flashpoint executive producer (and former CTV programming executive) Bill Mustos was in the house, as were stars Enrico Colantoni (joined above by Flashpoint unit publicist Beverly Warren), Hugh Dillon, Amy Jo Johnson and David Peatkau.
The old-fashioned, damn-the-budget CBS Stars Party was staged at the magnificent Huntington Library, where old money meets to stare up at the Blue Boy and other art treasures.
Limo after environmentally-friendly limo inched up the long and winding Huntington drive, depositing a who’s who of television, including CBS Paramount top executive Les Moonves and wife/Big Brother host Julie Chen as well as programming boss Nina Tassler.
Tassler was quizzed earlier in the day about the fate of Flashpoint, a Can-Am co-production currently–despite consistently winning its timeslot Friday nights on CBS–more Can than Am. She gave one of those network non-answers that could confound Solomon. Here it is, straight from the transcript:
NINA TASSLER: Well, we have nine more original episodes that we’re going to air in season. It just does better for us. So it was a great experience. We certainly look forward to doing more, have more arrangements like that. “The Bridge,” as you know, is coming on. We haven’t decided when yet, but that also is a similar model, but it’s been great for us.
This will be parsed by interested parties from here to Agincourt. She didn’t say it was toast, she didn’t say it would be picked up, she didn’t really say anything.

Johnny Galecki and creator Chuck Lorre, Survivor`s Jeff Probst (who stayed late), Cold Case‘s Kathryn Morris, CSI`s George Eads and Liz “Ì killed The Immortal” Vassey, Ghost Whisperer Jennifer Love Hewitt, Medium’s Patricia Arquette, Mentalist Simon Baker, NCIS`s LL COOL J and Chris O`Donnell, Numb3rs crunchers Rob Morrow and Angus T. Jones from Two and a Half Men. Even original Let`s Make a Deal host
Monty Hall (a consultant on CBS`s new daytime remake, starring Wayne Brady) made the scene. (At the afternoon press conference, CBS dressed the pages who run around fetching mikes for critics up in Deal costumes. By the time we get to Fox they`ll be wearing Glee club gear, I`m thinkin`.)
Stars from CBS`s kid sister network The CW were also in the house, including Shenae Grimes and Jennie Garth from 90210, 
Laura Leighton and Thomas Calabro from the new Melrose Place and everybody but the Canuck from Vampire Diaries. Even the stars from Showtime showed, including glamorous Edie Falco from Nurse Jackie, John Corbett from The United States of Tara and Dexter’s Michael C. Hall and new baddie John Lithgow, who has a delicious role as a triple killer on the Showtime series. “I even scare myself,” says Lithgow.
