Canadians turned to the dating reality show Perfect Match in its third week of release as the most-watched series on Netflix in Canada the week of February 27 to March 5. It stood fourth among all of Netflix’s English language TV shows worldwide (behind Outer Banks, Sex/Life and Next in Fashion) with 42.66 million hours viewed over the week

Meanwhile, not even cracking the Canadian Top-10 was the hottest trending TV show on the week on Twitter, the comedy special Chris Rock: Selective Outrage which premiered live last Saturday night. It probably didn’t help that Rock’s special just premiered on the final day of the week, giving other shows another six days to accumulate viewers. Selective Outrage might have more impact this week once repeat views are tallied. The much talked about special did rank 7th overall among TV shows for the week in the United States, so that live viewing was a big draw stateside.

The most-watched Netflix movie in Canada last week was the Tom Hanks feature “News of the World,” followed by family-friendly horror flick, “We Have A Ghost.”
