Another week where The Big Bang Theory and Young Sheldon in reruns opened up room at the top of the most-watched TV programs in English Canada. Here are highlights from the latest Top 30 Totals (Live+7) for the week of April 8-14 (A2+ AMA):

At the top of the list as tabulated by Numeris was CBS’s old reliable procedural NCIS (Global) at 2,167,000. The series, starring Mark Harmon, Wilmer Valderrama, Sean Murray, Jennifer Carta, Emily Wickersham (above), was recently renewed for a 17th season.

The rest of the Top Five in Canada were all imports as usual: No. 2. New Amsterdam (Global) at 1,963,000; 3. Survivor (Global) right behind at 1,957,000, 4. Blue Bloods (CTV) 1,788,000 and No. 5 The Rookie (CTV) at 1,916,000.

Also of note: Top Canadian-made shows were No. 12. Big Brother Canada Sunday (Global) 1,215,000; No. 16 Masterchef Canada (CTV) 1,128,000; No. 17 Big Brother Canada Thursday (Global) 1,124,000; No. 18 The NHL Stanley Cup playoffs (CBC) 1,103,000 and No. 21 Big Brother Canada Wednesday (Global) 1,062,000.

PET PEEVE: why does Numeris lump all the Stanley Cup games for the week (this being opening week of the first round) into one average number? Did opening night Wednesday do better or worse than the Leafs’ first game Thursday?
