From time to time, I get asked to appear on camera as a TV expert and always say yes, even if its about a genre I know less about, such as soap operas. That’s because I have come to realize that anyone can be a expert on anything on television for 11 seconds, which is how long you always wind up on screen. Someday I hope to work up the nerve to appear caught at home on camera, like Jimmy Kimmel at that pre-Emmy Awards press conference, in my jammies and slippers.
