Thanks to all who came out to take a groovy trip back in time to 1965 Thursday at the Velma Rogers Theatre. How hard core was this audience? At least two people knew the words to the My Mother the Car theme song. The theatre’s resident AV man, Steve, made the room look and sound beautiful. Designer daughter Katie Brioux came through again with the lively graphics that filled the screen between reels. Great thanks to Michelle Lomack and her resourceful Rogers/City PR team for popping corn, working the house and even providing a terrific sign I can use at future shows.
There are plans to hold the next TV on Film Project screening next month as part of the third annual Canadian International Television Festival. Save the dates Nov. 17 – 21 for the fest, which will be held once again at the TIFF Bell Lightbox in Toronto. Look for further details here at Brioux.TV as the event draws near.
